Dunwoody is a city located north of Atlanta and just east of the 400 within Dekalb county. The city is set to be incorporated in December of 2008. Dunwoody zip codes are 30338 and 30356. Currently plans are being made to build a real city center with a city hall and other administrative buildings.

Dunwoody has great access to MARTA in the form of light rail and bus. The Georgia Department of Transportation intends to alleviate congestion on I285 with either more stations, track, or increasing the number of lanes.

The Perimeter Mall is conveniently located within Dunwoody near I285. A wide selection of retail space, restaurants, and offices compliments the Mall and creates a hub of commercial activity. This coupled with a fine mix of housing styles landed Dunwoody-Atlanta in CNN's best places to retire in 2005.
